Prnz 7th Birthday

Super excited for the super day..Prn had been counting days to turn 7 and finally when he did he was very very happy !

We got him his gift a week back with the condition that he could only use it on his birthday ( a bag, a frisbee and a new pair of slippers ) but he had another surprise too..a Mario car game to be played on his Wii !

Papa took a leave and we picked him up from school, bought a birthday cake and prepared for the small celebration with friends at home !

5ish his friends came over, had some games, musical chairs and nuggets and pizza !

Prñav hugges me at night and said ” Best day ever”, surely worth all the running around and effort !

Another day in paradise!

Exam week and I seem to be completely tested by my mini monster Prn, excuses, tantrums, lame promises.. anything but not work. Anyways we have finished with Hindi and English.

Can’t wait enough for the end of exams, neither Prn nor myself. The girls are busy with their phones and laptops and would like us to believe that they are studying hard.. I realise now that it is easier to play along than teach them the value of time or integrity 🙂 I hope they do well!

Being the IB exams, Rhea does face a crucial time in her lifetime, fingers crossed and may the grace of God be with all of us!

We wished didi a very Happy Birthday today, she turns 49!

Dec Holidays 2019- Staycation

This year, the plan is to go sensible, which means be frugal 😦 so travel is out of the window and the season to plan, ‘to have a good time indoors’, is here. Which also means that we are all whining about not travelling by trying to be philosophical about how important it is to not be materialistic, how we need a break by doing nothing  blah blah blah :(((. It barely works!

But the good news is that Ma is in and we have great company, which also means that we have an added family member who can be a great critic !! So well I am having a great time – breathing in and meditating while keeping an eye on two phone addict teenagers and a phone addict madam know all mum. But I can’t complain, thats what families are all about sticking together through thick and thin and having a roaring time.

A happening month with exams, Pramod’s trip to India and diwali at the end.

Had my probation review by Rena which i was quite tensed about, but it went amazingly well. She was absolutely lovely 😊. It’s been a like a dream sliding into this new role. God send. Pramod is working so so hard, I hope that he finds his rainbow soon and also the huge pot of gold!

Rhea’s friends were invited for diwali, which was a nice experience 🙂

Weekend

Had a lovely weekend for a change. Finally Friday finished off with Sasha’s 6th year Kathak exam. Went out for a free concert in Fort Canning, watched a movie De de pyaar dey- which was cute came back at 2 pm. went on Sunday morning for a breakfast with moni and prn while the rest were sleeping and had a evening in Dempsey, browsing furniture.

Had pav bhaji and then binged in Korean show, so sleepy now on Monday morning.

Telunas Camp-Sasha 5-8 Mar 19

Its camping time, Sasha is all set to go for her first overseas camp to Telunas resort, Indonesia. I am sure that she will have lots of fun, I wish to see her soon, safe and sound and full of excitement!

She came back safe, tired and appreciate of the milk she drinks at home 🙂

 

Prisha turns 14

The little brat is turning 14. We had a bustling, happening weekend with shopping, music and sleepover. Thankfully it was a long weekend. The D-Day was actually more of a hangover with Sasha being grumpy, sleep deprived( the girls slept at 4) and rushing to get homework sorted.

Managed to pick some clothes from Sasha’s latest fad outlet- Melville Brandy or whatever. We are progressing from Smiggles, Typo, Starbucks etc. It’s just getting super pricey. We lunches at Nam nam and view food for a change was nice. Sunday(19th), she went for Endgame, followed by the party at home.

Quite rewarding to see a bunch of giggling teenagers appreciating your food and Sasha beaming with happiness.

Monday was a nice timeout with Pramod, having south indian coffee with dosa. Divine !!!
